U.S. Spring 2010 Tour Photos and U.S./Canadian Mailing List Reminder
Hi Everyone,
There are a few photos from the spring tour that I just put up. Sadly I lost most of the pictures from the Michigan leg of the tour. :-( I don't know what happened, but they just weren't there when I started to upload from the camera.
I also wanted to remind folks in the U.S. and Canada that, as I said in the spring post card mailing, there will be no more postcards going out. Starting with the fall 2010 tour schedule it will be email only. If you want to continue to receive updates for activities in North America, and you haven't already contacted me, send an email to me at booknsg@comcast.net and put "Emailing List" in the subject line. Please include your first and last name (please don't use Bill & Mary but enter it as Bill Smith or Mary Smith), email address (of course) and zip code or postal code. Please don't forget the zip/postal code so we can have an idea of where in the country you're located.
Cheers,
Linda

Classical Albums available for Download
Hi folks,
Dave wrote in with the happy news that most of the band's
classical albums are now available for digital, DRM-free download at
iTunes, Amazon and the usual places. The list includes
- From Fields Afar
- Live from Edinburgh
- Those so dearly held
- Spirit of the Banished
all of them "must-haves" for any self-respecting North Sea Gas fan out
there.
So run, don't walk to the digital download purchase platform of your
choice while supplies last ;-) If you have any questions, please leave
a message in the Guestbook or
contact Dave directly (see the "contact" section).
All the best,
Uwe

Dave's Diary: Straight from the States
Well!! Here I am back at tour base in Massachusetts. We have just completed 11 shows in 11 days and travelled about 4 thousand miles in the process.
The old bones are complaining, so are the young ones!
We have had mixed bag of experiences, we have met some great people on the way and have been well looked after by some good friends who supplied not only food and a bed to rest our weary heads, but also quantities of the magic potion that cures all ills and rejuvenates the tired limbs and makes the world a wonderful place!! YES, they had BEER.
On the down side the weather has played its part, most of the time it has been very very hot with temperatures around 86F and humidity through the roof! But this also leads to storms, when we were in Pitsburg there was a tornado warning and the storm that followed was horrendous. The streets were 4 inches deep with rain water! This happened about 45 minutes before our show was scheduled to start and continued throughout, needless to say the audience was not one of the largest we have played for. I can’t blame them I would not have went outdoors on a night like that either.
We recorded a TV show: “Songs of the Mountains”. It was recorded live from the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia. It was a 30 min spot and will be broadcast to 30 States early next year to an audience of several millions.
Glad to say we are happy with how it went and look forward to seeing the end results!
On the last day of the 11thm we were playing at the Herndon Festival which once again was hurt badly when the heavens opened, fortunately it was dry when we were on stage.
Now we have a couple of days to recover then it’s back on the road again.
Meanwhile it’s a quiet day relaxing in the sun; then later, we will watch the baseball and have a beer at the local watering hole.
See ya soon!
Dave
