Eldred Pickett
Eldred has been enjoying sim racing since the original Grand Prix Circuit by Accolade, and Indy 500 by Papyrus. He was fortunate enough to be one of the beta testers for Hawaii, which was the first major attempt at multiplayer racing, and VROC, a GPL multiplayer application. Eldred's sim-racing career has spanned several leagues, from Indycar Racing offline leagues, to Nascar 2/3 and GPL online leagues. He also owns just about every racing game that is released, sometimes to the detriment of his finances. A perennial mid-packer, he prides himself on clean racing, and never voluntarily quitting any online race he's in. His sim racing highlights include a 3rd place team finish in the COBRHA league, and 2 wins in a short-lived GPL oval track league. His real-life highlight is completing the Skip Barber racing course at Laguna Seca Raceway in June 2000. Eldred is single but wants to settle down soon. He is also a wannabe musician, playing guitar, bass, keyboards, and drums. His favorite groups are Rush, Yes, and the Jeff Lorber Fusion. He has plans to release a jazz CD in late 2001/early 2002.
