Matthias Vogt
Born in 1957, Matthias is married and father of three grown up kids who've left the nest. He's been interested in racing for as long as he can remember. Growing up next to the Hockenheimring provided plenty of opportunities to crawl under the fences into the "Fahrerlager" to be as close to the action as possible. Simracing on the PC opened up the opportunity to race "for real" against other people. Matthias started out on ICR1 to explore his potential as a driver. In 2002, Matthias founded the online simracing portal "SIMRACERS.de", and after a break of about 2 years, celebrated the rebirth of that tight knit community in 2006. Today, simracers revival provides a great background for online racing against the slow and fast, but always gentlemanly drivers from all over Europe. Matthias considers himself a very calm driver in real life, but likes to twist that throttle grip from time to time on his motorcycle if safety margins allow it, as he really enjoys returning safely and unhurt from an outing.
