Todd Dry
Todd was born at Cherry Point, NC his family is from Kannapolis, NC where Todd lived during his early childhood years. Todd's grandfather was a great NASCAR fan and Todd's first taste of motor racing was when his grandfather used to take him to the dirt track races and also to nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway for NASCAR events. NASCAR, however, didn't appeal to young Todd and after his family moved from North Carolina to Northern California it didn't appear that motor racing would ever have any influence on his life, at least not until he discovered F1.

I remember it like it was yesterday Todd says with a smile "It was about 1977 or 78. I was in the bathroom (The place where many of Todd's best ideas are born) and I picked up this Readers Digest which had an article about the great Niki Lauda's horrific crash at the Nurburgring and his miraculous recovery from that accident." A seed had been planted. Todd began to follow the F1 results in the local newspaper and then when Mario Andretti made his championship run F1 received some TV coverage in the U.S. and Todd was able to watch the events from home. Unfortunately this new sport conflicted with Todd's main interests at the time, the 3 F's (Football, Females, and Beer). So motor racing again took a back seat, although Todd maintained a passing interest in F1, reading results and watching the occasional race, until sometime around 1993 when he happened upon a computer game called World Circuit.

"World Circuit changed my life", states Todd proudly "Up until that moment I had only viewed personal computers as tools, finally I saw them for what they really were, entertainment vehicles, and from that point forward I became far less productive." His devotion to World Circuit was supplanted by GP2, F1RS, GPL, MGPRS2, and back to GPL again with minor detours at N1, N2, ICR1, ICR2, and TOCA2 (The BTCC has to be the most fun looking racing series on Earth) making Todd a committed sim racer for the long term.

Today Todd and his wife Stephanie, after a long courtship (13 years) they finally married in 1995, reside in Murrieta, CA. Having just recently been forced to sell his 7-year-old computer business, Todd is keeping busy by contracting work independently with former clients while trying to decide what future endeavor he would like to pursuit outside of sim racing.
