First of all this one was for you Don!
After a season of not driving I could not let the Don's tribute season go past me so I decided to join the fun.
Made a mistake on my Q run but still managed to do a 32.7xx really surprised to see Uwe dive under that 33 to.
After Q I wasn't so sure any more about my race pace as the first 5 drivers were all within a second.
Had a really bad start but fortunately the gentlemen approach into the first corner made me keep my spot.
Drove as hard as a could in the beginning of the race as I always fear Jo's race pace and consistency and somehow knew he was the one to watch.
Managed the gap to stay around the 10sec mark without pushing myself into stupid mistakes and then went to pit in lap 20.
Never tested stops so I was shocked to see a tire change take up 31seconds!
If I knew that I wouldn't have opted for new tires as my set would have lasted that last 8 laps fine. So shouting at my pit crew to hurry up I could hear cars coming, after my pit stop I came back on track right beside Jo really tense moment there J.

Think I played it nice but I left the car on where it was we never touched and I got by. After that on my fresh tires it was a run to the finish.
Gratz Jo and Andrew and to all finishers.

I managed to pass Uwe at the start but was unable to follow Lars who went off with alien speed.
Had a lot of problems to find my rythm in the first six or seven laps, especially to find the right line in the fast right hander.
Sorry Uwe if you went into the litter because of that.
I decided to pit early without tyre change and came back in 7th place to a clear track.
In lap 21 all of a sudden I heard an engine sound from the right side after T1, without seeing any car.
Soon it became clear it was Lars leaving the pits. We had an interesting moment in the following turn but of course I was not able to fight with him.
So I brought it home safe.
Congrats to Lars and thank you to all for the fine racing after the long summer break.

I really enjoyed the challenge of driving at Oulton Park. We decided to run the new G25 wheel on the car & installed it with less than 24 hours to race day. I was really happy with my race setup, the car felt great. Started from 4th on the grid & made a good start. On the exit of turn1 Uwe ran wide, which gave me a chance up the inside into turn 2. Held Uwe off on the fast turn 3 but messed up the gears in the hairpin, allowing Uwe to pass. Lars was off & I joined the four car train led by Jo. Uwe got past Dave & then later the same lap tried to pass Jo in the fast right hander only to run off on the exit into the gravel. Enjoyed some very close racing with Dave over the next few laps. After the pitstops I slotted back behind Dave. We both had a few hairy moments with back makers & with 3 laps to go Dave & I were fighting for 3rd place. The car felt good & the new G25 just gave me such good feedback. I was up for the fight & I could see Dave was pushing hard. Then Dave pushed it to far & lost it in the double right hander, handing me 3rd. Had to hold Dave off for the last lap, so just slowed on the apex & made sure I got on the power nice & smooth. Congrats to Lars & Jo on the podium & to all my fellow Screamers on making this a fantastic tribute to Don.
