After Stacey had a good and Hristo a bad start I felt like a pice of ham in an alien sandwich.
This took about two laps when Hristo could make a pass on me out of the slip stream on the long straight.
To my surprise I was almost able to follow the two guys in front and even tried a counter pass on Hristo on the long straight but did not succeed with my 2/3 wing setting.
In the same lap Hristo and Stacy had their moment at the chicane, ending into a spin from both. To my great luck I was not at my limit and able to avoid the two fighters. Invited to spot one this way I tried to maintain my gap to Uwe till I went into the pits in lap 12.
Comming back I was on six and rejoined spot one in lap 19 after all the guys in front had taken their pit stops.
Congrats to Lars and Stacey for their podium places. From the replay I saw, they had a tough but fair fight in the final lap.

2nd? still surprised really...
Never turned a lap in this car here before and last time a saw it was for the screamers gp79 race which i missed to.
So i used all available time to drive with fuel and Qualify showed that (7th iirc)
For the race i figured to stay out as long as possible to get the shortest pitstop and be easy on tires . So cruising in 5th With Chris on my tail we passed the spinning Hristo and Stacey. Chris warped like crazy here and was a tad faster so i figured not to race him to hard and hope my late stop strategy would work as i was still reasonably upfront. So i stayed as close as i could and saw Stacey Chris and Uwe (whom had a fast pace today) pit before me.
I was the last to stop and only very shortly for a bit of fuel and came back on track 3rd with Chris AGAIN ;-) right behind me.
Tried to settle down for the last few laps when i noticed on pitwall Stacey's speed was dropping Uwe messed up and i got hang of the track finally and started to drive some 50's. With 2 laps it all came together, the gab to Chris was big enough and i was up to challenge the damaged car of Stacey.
In the last lap i finally passed him he fought back and we were side by side and had a little nudge really good fun to bad his car was messed up. happy with 2nd, Jo was way to consisted today Gratz to him and Stacey still making the podium with that car.

I did no laps before today but after about an hours praccy I was happy
with the car, and qualifying went ok grabbing 3rd.
I opted for 2/6 downforce today because I was having problems through
sector 2.
I knew this would make me a sitting duck on the straights, but in
other rounds if i got clean air, it was generally ok once the tires
wore in.
I got a decent start and was in 1st by t1.
I built up 2s lead before settling into my long run pace. hrsito then
took 2nd and started to catch me, but I was real dissapointed to get
rear ended at the chicane...
When i controlled the car and got back on track id prolly lost about
10s and had major rear end damage, making the car a loose nightmare.
Thats how uwe got by. ;)
I tried to fight him off, but I was going to ditch it if I carried on,
so I settled in behind him.
Not wanting to pit off sequence, I limped to my scheduled stop and got
repaired, and after that the race went ok.
I raced back into 2nd place when everyone stopped, but my tires were
spent, and lars was real quick in the closing laps and managed to get
by on the final lap.
3rd was a pretty good recovery from the sand trap though.
